The book is a bit outdated so the drawings are whimsical, skilled and yet at times missing the brightness or solidity of colors one thinks. Fortunately due to age and the decline of the actual lullaby I was able to find it for a quick read. The beef I have with modern fiction is that it tends to wax cliche more often than not.
